We can define this into two parts:

Seventh-Day1

Adventist2

Seventh-Day

/sev-uhnth-dey/

A Christian denomination that follows the Biblical 7th-day as the day of rest & religious observance.

“Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.”

Exodus 31:13

This will seem obvious, but we cannot be considered Seventh Day Adventists and not believe in the 7th day Sabbath.

Adventist

/ˈadˌven(t)əst/

Believing in the imminent second coming of Christ.

“I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

John 14:3

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ”

Titus 2:13

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God...”

2 Peter 3:12

But.. what does imminent mean?

Imminent

/ˈimənənt/

Likely to occur at any moment; about to happen;

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”

Revelation 22:12

Advent Urgency

In all we do, be it our Venture Studio, Accelerator Program or Entrepreneurshp Academy, we operate with a sense of urgency and purpose.

May the Lord give no rest, day nor night, to those who are now careless and indolent in the cause and work of God. The end is near. This is that which Jesus would have us keep ever before us—the shortness of time.”

Lift Him Up (LHU 274.2)

“The moments now granted to us are few. We are standing upon the very borders of the eternal world. We have no time to lose. Every moment is golden and altogether too precious to be devoted merely to self-serving.”

9T 117.1

“The cause of God demands men who can see quickly and act instantaneously at the right time and with power.”

3T 497.2-3

Time for Decisive Action!

“You will have obstacles and difficulties to encounter at every turn, and you must with firm purpose decide to conquer them, or they will conquer you.”

3T 497.2-3

Long delays tire the angels. It is even more excusable to make a wrong decision sometimes than to be continually in a wavering position.”

3T 497.2-3

Prompt and decisive action may accomplish great results.”

3T 499.1

“May we be lead by the Holy Spirit and act decisively. But to act decisively we must first be in a daily communion with God. Let us form strong relationships and build our faith so when the Spirit leads we have the courage to step out in faith!”

3T 499.2

Delays are virtually defeats.”
